Job summary

Orkla Danmark is seeking a Product Developer to join our KiMs brand R&D team in Denmark. You will harmonize and renovate products with emphasis on quality, taste, and consumer experience, and lead development projects from concept through handover to manufacturing.

You will manage product specifications, including recipes, descriptions, and process documentation for locally made and third-party goods, while collaborating closely with commercial, supply chain, production, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience in food product development.
• Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP, BRC, or similar.
• Experience collaborating across commercial functions, Supply Chain, and suppliers.
• Solid understanding of food science and technology.
• Preferably experience with FMCG products.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Structured, collaborative and thrives in a dynamic environment.

Job Description

As a Product Developer, you will become a key member of our R&D team, responsible for the development, optimization, and maintenance of products within the KiMs brand portfolio.

Your primary responsibilities will include harmonizing and renovating existing products with a strong focus on quality, taste, and consumer experience. In addition, you will lead development projects from concept through implementation and handover to the manufacturing site.

You will also play an important role in managing product specifications, including recipes, product descriptions, and process documentation for both locally manufactured products and third-party produced goods. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating and maintaining product data
• Product registration and recipe management
• Managing allergens and product declarations
• Developing and updating process descriptions
• Applying sensory evaluation methods in product development in close collaboration with R&D, Marketing, and Quality

You will work closely with commercial functions, Supply Chain, Production, and external suppliers.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with experience in food product development, preferably from an R&D or product development environment.

• Have experience in food product development
• Have knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP, BRC, or similar
• Have experience collaborating across commercial functions, Supply Chain, and suppliers
• Have a solid understanding of food science and technology
