Job summary

BattMan Energy in Aarhus is seeking a Procurement Lead to own the end-to-end procurement process from tender to signed contract. You will establish a lean, scalable process as the company grows across Denmark and international projects.

You will lead commercial negotiations within a defined mandate, collaborate with engineering and project management, and build fast, robust procurement templates to support rapid decision-making in a dynamic energy market.

Qualifications

• Experience procuring technical plants or components in energy, infrastructure or heavy industry.
• Track record negotiating large contracts with international suppliers.
• Structured approach to build standardised procurement processes.
• Fluency in Danish and English (written and spoken).
• Solid contracts knowledge, including Fidic forms and Danish AB standards.

Responsibilities

• Run the procurement process end to end: RfQ, bid collection, commercial evaluation, negotiation and contract award.
• Negotiate price, payment terms, bonds and securities, warranties and liquidated damages with large international suppliers.
• Build standard processes and commercial templates for recurring purchases.
• Qualify suppliers commercially and manage ongoing supplier relationships.
• Report on procurement status, budget and deviations from the mandate.
• Work closely with engineering, project management and business areas.

Do you know how to land a large contract on the right terms? At BattMan Energy, we are building Denmark's largest portfolio of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and we are looking for a Procurement Lead to own our procurement process from tender to signed contract. You will negotiate our largest packages with international suppliers and build the process that keeps our purchasing fast and consistent as we grow. Role

As Procurement Lead, you own BattMan Energy's procurement process from tender to signed contract. You will build and run a standardised process that keeps pace as we grow across standalone BESS in Denmark, retrofits of existing solar parks, international projects and co-location with wind and solar.

You lead the commercial negotiations within a mandate you help set, including the large packages such as BESS and EPC/BoP (engineering, procurement and construction, and balance of plant). You work closely with our legal team, with engineering, who own the technical requirements, and with the Project Director, who owns the overall timeline and budget of the projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Run the procurement process end to end: Request for Quotation (RfQ), bid collection, commercial evaluation, negotiation and contract award.


• Negotiate price, payment terms, bonds and securities, warranties and liquidated damages with large international suppliers.


• Build standard processes and commercial templates so recurring purchases run quickly and consistently.


• Qualify suppliers commercially and manage ongoing supplier relationships.


• Report on procurement: status, budget and deviations from the negotiation mandate.


• Work closely with engineering, project management and our business areas.

Who you are

You are a structured and confident negotiator. You prepare well, hold your position at the table and close contracts on terms that protect the project. You take ownership of the procurement process and enjoy building something that others can work by, in a lean environment where decisions move fast.

We imagine you have:

• Experience procuring technical plants or components, ideally in energy, infrastructure or other heavy industry.


• A track record of negotiating large contracts with international suppliers, and the confidence to hold a position.


• A structured approach and the ability to build a process others can work by.


• Enough technical curiosity to engage with engineers, while leaving the technical decisions to them.


• Fluency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.


• It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have:


• Solid contract knowledge, including the FIDIC forms of contract and the Danish AB 18/ABT 18 standards.
