Job summary

Capture Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to BESS projects across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. You will help the sales team define technical solutions, generate SLDs, and verify calculations with suppliers and DSOs.

You’ll work mainly in a back-office capacity with site visits, and you can influence how processes evolve as the company grows, while using English as the common technical language.

Qualifications

• Experienced electrical engineer with HV/LV background, preferably in BESS, PV, or wind.
• Hands-on experience reading and assessing technical documentation.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple suppliers and DSOs.
• Strong analytical and review skills with a pragmatic, collaborative mindset.

• Draw and update single-line diagrams (SLDs).
• Review installers' solutions and suppliers' calculations (short-circuit, protection coordination, cable dimensioning).

• Lead technical alignment with suppliers and DSOs during execution.
• Review and approve as-built documentation before sending to customers.

Electrical Engineer – the technical backbone of our BESS projects

We are a small, fast-growing company within Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), with activities in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. We're building something from the ground up, which means there's a short distance from idea to action - and plenty of room to shape how we do things.

We're not looking for a ninja who already masters everything at expert level. We're looking for a Swiss army knife a solid, curious, and flexible electrical engineer who can follow our projects from offer to operation, and who thrives on the role (and the company) evolving along the way.

We're a Scandinavian company, and our shared working language for technical/professional matters is English.

About the role

You'll become a central technical resource, involved all the way through: you'll help our sales team find the right solution based on customer needs and our product catalogue of BESS and inverters, you'll quality-assure solutions and supplier calculations, and you'll follow projects technically through execution including alignment with suppliers and DSOs.

You'll be based primarily in a back-office role, with site visits when it makes sense our site manager holds day-to-day responsibility on site.

We're an organisation under development, where things are continuously adapted - and where you'll have influence over how the processes should look. That's why we place great emphasis on flexibility and a willingness to help shape the role as we go.

The role will either be based on our HQ in Gothenburg or our Copenhagen office.

Your main tasks

• Support sales with technical solution proposals based on our product catalogue, which can become an RfQ
• Draw and update SLDs
• Review installers' technical solutions and suppliers' calculations (short-circuit, protection coordination, cable dimensioning)
• Own our Installation and Test Plan (ITP) and cross-check across suppliers so the plan is coherent
• Verify protection relay settings and cable dimensioning
• Take technical lead in aligning suppliers and the DSO during execution
• Review and approve as-built documentation before it's sent to the customer
• Prepare documentation for DSOs
• Support the O&M team technically as needed

Who we think you are

• Experienced electrical engineer within high/low voltage ideally with a background from BESS, PV, or the wind industry
• Have hands-on experience with relay protection, cable dimensioning, and ideally ITP coordination across suppliers
• Used to reading and critically assessing technical documentation including as-built
• Thrive as a coordinator and reviewer, rather than being the one with your hands in everything yourself
• Flexible, curious, and eager to help build something up the role will evolve, and you see that as an advantage, not a drawback
• Experience across several different suppliers/manufacturers (not just one "universe") is a big plus
