Novonesis in Lyngby seeks a probiotic and microbiology expert to develop and transfer culture-based and molecular assays for probiotic and silage products. You will perform hands-on lab work, analyze results, and provide global scientific support to customer projects.

The role involves assay development, optimization, and transfer, with opportunities to collaborate across R&D, Marketing, and regional teams, contributing to product performance and service improvements.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related.
• 1–3 years of experience in probiotics, silage microbiology, or related areas with hands-on cultivation and enumeration.
• Experience with microbial enumeration, spore recovery, viability, identification, or functional assays.
• Experience analyzing microorganisms in complex matrices like feed or silage.
• Proven assay development, optimization, validation, troubleshooting and transfer experience.
• Strong design, data analysis, statistics, and documentation skills.
• Preferable automation experience with liquid handlers and high-throughput workflows.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate complex science clearly.

Responsabilités

• Develop, validate, optimize, and transfer culture-based and molecular microbiological assays.
• Plan and perform hands-on studies using cultivation, enumeration, identification, and viability assessments.
• Provide global scientific support for probiotic products and customer projects.
• Translate results into actionable conclusions for internal teams and customers.
• Prepare protocols, SOPs, reports to ensure robust workflows.
• Collaborate across R&D, Sales, Marketing, and external partners.
• Deliver scientific training and knowledge sharing across the organization.
