Job summary

Empiric is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to head up the Denmark mechanical design engineering for hyperscale data center projects. You will lead a local team, engage clients, and drive the growth of the Danish operation while ensuring alignment with EN, DIN, BS, and IEC standards.

The role requires seniority in MEP design and proven leadership in client-facing environments, with fluency in Danish and strong professional English skills.

Qualifications

• Proven background as a Senior, Lead, or Principal Mechanical Engineer specializing in Building Services / MEP design.
• Direct experience in Data Centers or high-reliability environments.
• Fluent Danish speaker with strong professional English skills.
• Leadership: able to lead workshops, manage client relationships and drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical discipline on large-scale data center developments.
• Deliver high-performance, resilient infrastructure aligned with best practice.
• Oversee power distribution coordination and thermal management across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Act as lead technical contact for key accounts and translate client requirements into buildable designs.
• Spearhead the formation and development of a local Danish engineering team.
