Job summary

Aleta in Aarhus seeks a Principal Engineer to set the platform's technical direction for a modern wealth platform handling vast assets. It is built AI-first, with a TypeScript/Next.js frontend, a Rust calculation engine, and Postgres on Neon.

You will own architecture, data model, and the calculation engine, working directly with the founders to ensure correctness and fast delivery, with no people management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• AI is the primary engineering method with evidence of ownership over previous work.
• Strong background in scalable, correctness-focused engineering practices.
• Experience with modern stacks (TypeScript/Next.js, PostgreSQL on Neon) and serverless architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, the data model and technical direction.
• Own the calculation engine - Rust, and where correctness matters most.
• Drive monitoring, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across the whole chain.
• Enforce and evolve engineering conventions and agent workflow.
• Guide the engineering team through technical decisions and hiring.
