Job summary

Aleta is seeking a technically ambitious Platform Engineer to keep the AI-first WealthTech platform running in Aarhus. You’ll own production from ingestion to delivery, ensuring data correctness and reliable operation in a fast-evolving environment.

You’ll work with TypeScript and Rust components, review AI-generated code paths, and collaborate with founders and technical leads to shape architecture. Relocation to Aarhus is not required but proximity helps.

Qualifications

  • Owned something in production, not just built it.
  • Ground beneath the application layer: Linux, networking, deployment, databases.
  • SQL and data modelling at a level where you can tell a query is ‘wrong’.
  • Strong in TypeScript. Rust is welcome, not required.
  • AI is already your primary engineering method, and you have opinions about where it fails.
  • Based in or near Aarhus; role sits with domain knowledge people.

Responsibilities

  • Keep it running: answer “what happened at 03:14?” from logs, metrics and traces.
  • Own the ingestion chain: bank files, custodian feeds, changing formats.
  • Review what the agents ship: read code quickly and spot subtly wrong outputs.
  • Notice when numbers look off: detect quiet data issues and verify correctness.

Job description

Own production, data pipelines, and code quality on an AI-first WealthTech platform behind more than USD 100 billion in assets.

On behalf of our client Aleta, we are looking for a technically ambitious and AI-First Platform Engineer to keep the platform running.

Aleta is a wealth intelligence platform for family offices. The company is headquartered in New York with offices in Denmark and Bangkok. They consolidate data across banks, custodians, asset classes and entity structures, and turn it into reporting that owners use. They have an established business with strong revenue growth.

Most of their code is now written by AI agents. That hasn’t removed the engineering work — it has moved it. Knowing whether the service is correct, and keeping it alive at three in the morning, is not. That second part is this job.

About the platform

Rebuilt from scratch with TypeScript and Next.js on the application layer, Rust for the calculation engine, Postgres on Neon, WorkOS for auth, fully serverless. No legacy systems to work around.

Every night it ingests data from banks and custodians, runs the calculations, and produces reports that have to be right by morning. When that chain breaks, someone has to find out why — quickly.

What you’ll do
  • Keep it running: You’re the person who can answer “what happened at 03:14?” from logs, metrics and traces — and who makes the answer easier to find next time.
  • Own the ingestion chain: Bank files, custodian feeds, the formats that change without warning. Most of what goes wrong, goes wrong here first.
  • Review what the agents ship: You read code faster than you write it, and you’re constructively suspicious of output that looks plausible. Catching the subtly wrong matters more here than writing the elegantly right.
  • Notice when a number looks off: Aletas systems rarely fail with a stack trace. They deliver a quiet, incorrect figure. Wanting to know whether the data is actually right is a core skill, not a nice-to-have.

You’ll work alongside the founders and the technical lead. On architecture you help shape it, but don’t have to own alone.

Who are you?

We care more about what you’ve learned and what you’ve owned than the number of years on your CV.

The important checks are:
  • You’ve ‘owned’ something in production, not just built it. You’ve been on call, or you’ve been the person people called.
  • Solid ground beneath the application layer: Linux, networking, deployment, databases. You debug downwards, not only sideways.
  • SQL and data modelling at a level where you can tell a query is ‘wrong’, not just slow
  • Strong in TypeScript. Rust is welcome, not required
  • AI is already your primary engineering method, and you have opinions about where it fails
  • Based in or near Aarhus. This role sits with the people who hold the domain knowledge
More about how they work at Aleta

‘AI-first isn’t a slogan here’

It’s how the whole company runs. Every task is a written goal with an explicit definition of done, and the rules are files in the repo, not aspirations.

‘Deliberately small’

A few exceptional people with real ownership, rather than a large team with diluted responsibility.

‘Direct and honest’

At Aleta, they argue about the work, openly and without politics — including with the founders.

What Aleta offers

You’ll have direct access to the people making product and technical decisions, and you’ll see the impact of your work immediately. With a small team comes real ownership, short feedback loops, and the opportunity to influence both the platform and how engineering is done.
