Overview

We are hiring a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Faroe Islands. The role involves preserving and protecting historic buildings and structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed research on the history and significance of historic buildings and structures
• Create preservation plans that outline how to protect and maintain these structures
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors and other professionals to execute preservation projects
• Inspect buildings for damage or deterioration and recommend necessary repairs or restoration work
• Ensure all restoration work is carried out according to preservation guidelines and standards
• Manage budgets and timelines for preservation projects
• Maintain accurate records of all preservation work carried out on assigned buildings or structures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in historic preservation or conservation work
• Strong knowledge of historic architecture materials and techniques
• Experience conducting research on historic buildings and structures
• Ability to create detailed preservation plans that adhere to established guidelines and standards
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of professionals
• Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving abilities

Compensation

Competitive salary of 1600$ per month for this full‑time position.

Location Flexibility

The position is located in Faroe Islands. Preference will be given to candidates already based in this location.
