DTU Compute – Embedded Systems Engineering (ESE) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to the REGAIN-AI project, a research initiative on reliability, sustainability and self-adaptation in AI-enabled systems. The appointment is for 2 years with starting date January 2027 or soon thereafter.

You will conduct cutting-edge research, develop novel models and runtime mechanisms, and publish results in top conferences and journals, collaborating with partners in Denmark and

Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant field as documented by publications.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in experimental systems research and prototype development.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cutting-edge research on reliable, sustainable, and self-adaptive AI systems for embedded, edge, and distributed computing environments.
  • Develop models, methodologies, and runtime mechanisms to characterize and control uncertainty, reliability, and resource use.
  • Develop proof-of-concept implementations and validate solutions on embedded devices and edge platforms.
  • Publish and disseminate results in international conferences and journals; collaborate with academic and industrial partners.
  • Supervise MSc and PhD students and contribute to the ESE research environment.
