Job summary

DTU seeks a postdoctoral researcher to advance real-time spatial audio and multisensory XR at the intersection of acoustics, signal processing, XR, and human perception. You will develop and evaluate physics-based and data-driven audio rendering methods within the European OmenXR Horizon project, collaborating with international partners across XR, haptics, AI, and healthcare.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field (or equivalent).
• Strong background in spatial audio, acoustics, signal processing, XR, or related field.
• Programming/prototyping experience and interest in perceptual/user research.

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time spatial audio rendering using physics-based and data-driven approaches.
• Investigate personalised audio, environmental soundscapes, interactive sounds, and auditory augmentation.
• Integrate and synchronize audio with visual, haptic, and other sensory modalities.
• Conduct perceptual and user studies and contribute to multisensory grounding use cases.
