Job summary

SOUNDBOKS is seeking an Audio Engineer to advance our product audio by designing and simulating system-level concepts, while collaborating with acoustics, hardware and firmware teams in a fast-paced product development environment.

You will explore signal processing and simulation to improve SPL, sound quality, and battery efficiency, contributing to the next generation of loudspeakers and audio-reactive lights. This role starts October 2026 or ASAP in Copenhagen.

Qualifications

• Holds a BSc or higher in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, or a related engineering field.
• Has designed and simulated audio systems, ideally loudspeakers, and knows signal processing for audio.
• Comfortable using simulations and measurements to test ideas and drive better engineering decisions.
• Plus if you have experience with loudspeaker design, transducers, enclosure design, or audio electronics.
• Excited by solving difficult audio problems and improving performance.
• Curious, experimental, and collaborative, taking ownership of your work.

Responsibilities

• Develop audio concepts and proof‑of‑concepts at a system level.
• Explore new approaches to improve audio performance across products.
• Collaborate with the Acoustics, Hardware, and Firmware teams during concept development.
• Perform advanced signal processing simulations focusing on SPL, sound quality, and system efficiency.
• Evaluate and develop signal processing algorithms to enhance overall product audio performance.
• Work across the Product Development team to evolve the audio performance of future products.
