Job summary

The Department of Science Education at the University of Copenhagen invites applications for a 2-year postdoctoral position starting 1 March 2027. The SPINE project investigates how interdisciplinary collaboration can be better supported within existing academic structures and produces plug-and-play tools for researchers, educators, and organisations.

You will lead testing and refinement of tools at SPINE test sites, design and facilitate intervention workshops, and turn findings into practical

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently while contributing actively to a collaborative team (≤140 chars)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally when required
• Experience in interdisciplinary higher education research
• Experience with participatory action research or co-design
• Experience with workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement
• Experience translating research into practical outputs
• Danish language is an advantage but not required

Responsibilities

• Lead testing and refinement of SPINE tools and methods at SPINE’s test sites
• Design and facilitate intervention workshops with researchers and stakeholders
• Evaluate and adapt approaches across contexts
• Turn research findings into practical plug-and-play resources for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Conduct qualitative research and fieldwork
• Analyze and evaluate empirical material and interventions
• Collaborate with project partners and stakeholders
• Disseminate findings through academic and practice-oriented outputs
• Teach at the Department of Science Education
• Work based in Denmark with some international travel
