Job summary

LEO Foundation Skin Immunology Research Center (SIC) invites applications for a three-year postdoctoral researcher position in forensic genetics and complex samples. The role is full-time and based at the Section of Forensic Genetics, Department of Forensic Medicine, University of Copenhagen.

The project focuses on applying DNA and RNA sequencing to resolve complex forensic mixtures, including single-cell sequencing approaches and bioinformatic deconvolution methods.

Qualifications

• Must have a PhD in forensic genetics, computational biology, bioinformatics, genetics, molecular biomedicine, biology or related field before start date.
• Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment and travel for experiments abroad.

Responsibilities

• Write scientific articles based on your research project.
• Participate in undergraduate teaching of forensic genetics.
• Present at national and international congresses and meetings.
