The Cvejic Lab at BRIC, University of Copenhagen, seeks a highly motivated Staff Scientist to advance human hematopoietic stem cell research using cutting-edge single-cell and multiome approaches. This fixed-term role supports collaboration across biology, clinical, and bioinformatics teams.

The ideal candidate has a PhD in life sciences, extensive flow cytometry and molecular biology experience, and a strong publication record.

Qualifications

• PhD in life sciences or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with multi-colour flow cytometry.
• Proficiency in cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
• Experience with CRISPR-based approaches.
• Excellent English, written and spoken.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform experiments using primary tissue and cells across multiple platforms, including molecular biology, multi-colour flow cytometry, single-cell genomics, and histology.
• Prepare single-cell multiome libraries, coordinate sequencing, and conduct flow cytometry-based cell sorting.
• Write and maintain detailed, reproducible experimental protocols.
• Train and mentor new lab members in core techniques.
• Establish new methodologies in the lab by adapting and optimising published protocols.
• Collaborate closely with biologists, clinicians, and bioinformaticians within and outside the group to advance shared scientific goals.
