Job summary

DTU Energy invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher in electrochemical direct air capture and CO2 conversion. The role focuses on computational design and analysis of materials and systems, with close collaboration with an experimental team.

You will develop molecular- and system-level insights to improve efficiency and energy performance of next-generation e-DAC technologies, while mentoring junior researchers and disseminating results in high-quality publications.

Qualifications

  • PhD in chemical engineering, materials science, or related field with strong publication record.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; creativity and innovation.
  • Experience with DFT and Python is a plus.
  • Experience in experimental catalysis synthesis is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead computational design and analysis of redox-active materials for e-DAC.
  • Perform modeling, data analysis, and visualization; collaborate with experimental team.
  • Mentor junior researchers where appropriate.
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary collaborations in DTU Energy.
