Job summary

Aarhus University in Denmark invites applications for a two-year postdoc position at the Novo Nordisk Foundation CO2 Research Center. The successful candidate will conduct research on catalysts for bicarbonate conversion using electrochemical methods and work to design interfacial layers that promote CO2 reduction to syngas or ethylene.

The position involves scaling promising processes in electrochemical flow cells and collaborating with the Daasbjerg group and international partners.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field.
  • Strong background in electrochemistry.
  • Experience with catalysis for chemical transformations.
  • Significant experience in flow technology and electrochemical flow cells.
  • Experience with international collaborations and leadership within a research group.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on catalysts for bicarbonate conversion using electrochemical methods.
  • Design the interfacial organic layer at the electrode surface to promote selective CO2 reduction to syngas or ethylene.
  • Scale promising processes using electrochemical flow cells.
  • Collaborate with the Daasbjerg group and international partners.
