Job summary

Lunar, a Nordic challenger bank, is hiring a Platform Engineer in Aarhus. You’ll join Esa, the Developer Enablement squad, to build a resilient platform as a product and ease friction for feature teams shipping great products.

You’ll own Kubernetes clusters in AWS, evolve the messaging backbone and databases, and navigate security/compliance in a regulated environment. This is hands-on with observability at the core.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Platform, SRE or DevOps roles.
• Hands-on with Terraform and IaC tooling.
• Experience running workloads in Kubernetes and AWS core services.
• PostgreSQL knowledge, including basic tuning and RDS management.
• Experience with asynchronous messaging patterns and RabbitMQ.
• Focus on observability and production reliability.

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce patterns for resilient, cloud-native microservices that are observable, cost-efficient, and easy to maintain.
• Run, troubleshoot, and optimise the open source and cloud-native systems our platform runs on, keeping it highly available and reliable for the business.
• Own the lifecycle of our high-availability Kubernetes clusters in AWS, including the upgrade cycle every four months.
• Evolve our asynchronous messaging backbone and critical database systems for performance and reliability.
• Help shape our next-generation environments, including sovereign cloud and AI-optimised infrastructure operations.
