Job summary

Scan Con Construction ApS seeks skilled Pipe Fitters for shipyard work in Denmark. Work includes reading blueprints, cutting and shaping pipes, threading, and assembling pipe systems for repair and new builds in marine environments.

Ideal candidates have shipyard experience, strong attention to safety, and the ability to follow complex instructions. Company provides full-time Danish contracts, transport and accommodation, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints and specifications.
• Proven ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
• Good reading of labels and safety warnings.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specs to determine layout.
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shapes using hand tools and machines.
• Thread pipe with threading equipment and test piping systems for leaks.
• Select pipe types/sizes and related fittings per job specs.
• Secure pipes to ship fixtures with brackets and clamps; weld or join where needed.
• Connect pipes to extend runs or change flow directions.
• Assemble and install pipes and fittings with appropriate joints.

We are lokking for shipyard workes:

• Pipe Fitters

• Ermeto Pipe Fitters

• Hydraulic Pipe Fitters

• Black Pipes Fitters

for marine industry.

Scan Con offers jobs at the Shipyards on Reparation and New Build Departments.

Key tasks:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout requirements.

• Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipe to required shapes using hacksaw, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine.

• Threads pipe using threading machine.

• Tests piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks.

• Selects type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to job specifications.

• Securing pipes to the ship and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.

• Attach one pipe to another in order to lengthen the run or change the flow direction in a plumbing system.

• Assembles and installs a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings, using threaded caulked, soldering, brazen, fused, or cemented joints, and hand tools.

• Performs other duties as required.

• English - must be able to communicate in English

• Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines

Experience:

• Experience from shipyards

• Education or professional experience in a given position
