GEUS is offering a 3-year PhD position based in Copenhagen, as part of the REGLA project. The PhD focuses on meltwater pathways under the Greenland Ice Sheet using remote sensing and machine learning, supervised by GEUS and DTU Space experts.

The role involves mapping subglacial water routes, applying data-driven methods, and collaborating across departments to advance understanding of ice dynamics and sediment transport.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in geoscience, physics, geophysics, engineering or related field.
• Interest in remote sensing and data-driven methods.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team and communicate in English.

Responsabilités

• Map subglacial water routes using satellite data.
• Apply machine learning to study meltwater and ice dynamics.
