Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S is seeking a Development Scientist within API MSAT to support process development, technology transfer, validation, and lifecycle management of synthetic peptide manufacturing at CMOs and production sites.

The role requires a PhD or MSc in peptide chemistry or related field, hands-on SPPS experience, GMP knowledge, and strong collaboration across global teams; travel 10–20 days per year is expected.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Peptide Chemistry, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in chemical/pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably SPPS or synthetic API production.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements and quality expectations for API development and manufacturing.
• Familiarity with process chemistry, scale-up, technology transfer, validation, and ICH guidelines.
• Strong stakeholder management and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for synthetic peptide manufacturing processes, supporting technology transfer, validation, and lifecycle management.
• Provide scientific and technical support to CMOs and manufacturing sites, including troubleshooting and process improvements.
• Serve as process and product owner for SPPS-based peptide manufacturing processes.
• Prepare and review GMP documentation for validation, regulatory submissions, and life cycle management.
• Support onboarding and implementation of new CMOs.
