Job summary

AlphaConnect bakery in Faroe Islands is seeking a skilled part-time Baker to join our team. You will prepare and bake a range of breads, cakes, and pastries, following recipes and ensuring high quality.

Key duties include decorating, maintaining cleanliness, upholding food safety, and assisting customers with product knowledge. The role offers 20 hours weekly with accommodation possible and visa sponsorship if needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Baker or similar role.
• Knowledge of different types of flour, ingredients, baking techniques and equipment.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately.
• Creativity in decorating cakes and pastries.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Physically fit to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
• Good communication skills.
• Must have own transportation or be able to commute to the bakery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake various types of bread, cakes, pastries and other baked goods.
• Follow recipes and ensure consistency in product quality.
• Decorate cakes and pastries according to customer requests.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to all food safety standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of orders.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and making recommendations.
• Continuously improve baking techniques and recipes.
