Job summary

Saxo Bank is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the OpenAPI Framework team within Saxo's Platform Technology. You will guide a group of experienced engineers, influence technical strategy, and partner with senior stakeholders to scale Saxo's API platform and developer experience.

You will balance people leadership, technical credibility, and operational excellence while driving platform modernization and cross-team collaboration across Saxo's global engineering network.

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams in a complex environment.
• Strong people leadership and coaching skills.
• Experience with platform engineering, APIs, cloud technologies, or distributed systems.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Experience working across organizational boundaries and building trusted partnerships with both technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of highly skilled engineers.
• Drive recruitment, retention, and career development.
• Define and execute the technology strategy for the OpenAPI Framework domain.
• Partner with architects, principal engineers, and engineering leaders on platform evolution.
• Lead the successful execution of OpenAPI projects from planning through delivery.
• Effectively evaluate and prioritize technical enhancements, technical debt, reliability, and business priorities. This includes strong alignment with several stakeholders and within the team.
• Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and operational excellence.
• Help teams across Saxo successfully adopt and leverage platform capabilities.
