Job summary

Saxo Bank is seeking a Security Architect for Application Security to embed security across software development and engineering practices at our Copenhagen headquarters.

You will work with developers, platform engineers and security professionals to review applications, enable secure design, and drive security tooling and practices across the SDLC.

This role combines hands-on analysis, advisory work and practical implementation to strengthen secure delivery and resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of secure software development principles and application security concepts.
• Familiarity with OWASP and CWE guidance and secure-by-design practices.
• Knowledge of modern development practices, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and software delivery processes.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar.
• Ability to translate security findings into actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive integration of security into software development processes, platforms and engineering practices.
• Perform application security reviews, threat modelling and security assessments of new and existing solutions.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and design weaknesses with development teams.
• Contribute to security tooling, secure development practices and vulnerability management.
• Support secure adoption of emerging technologies including AI-assisted development and cloud-native platforms.
• Define and maintain application security standards, guidelines and reference architectures.
