Job summary

Vestas is seeking an Offshore Commissioning Specialist & Field Trainer to support the performance and commissioning of offshore wind farms. You will collaborate with Site Managers, Supervisors, and technical experts to ensure safe, high-quality delivery and timely handover of projects.

The role involves on-site technical support, documentation, and continuous improvement across commissioning activities. Primary location can be Denmark or the UK, with travel up to 180 days per year.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge in electrical and/or mechanical systems, with understanding of commissioning, operations and construction processes.
• Experience monitoring, analysing, and resolving technical issues in a wind farm or similar industrial environment.
• Proficiency in VOT and other internal systems used to support commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking.
• Skilled in using SharePoint and OneNote for documentation management, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site technical support specialist, coordinating solutions and acting as the key liaison between construction sites and back-office teams.
• Ensure critical project information, updates, and feedback are effectively communicated to all site team members.
• Support Lead Site Managers with daily planning activities, operational coordination, and problem-solving.
• Provide technical guidance and support to Commissioning Supervisors onshore and offshore, working with the wider Construction team.
• Track and evaluate WTG performance, coordinate troubleshooting, and assist with commissioning tasks.
• Assist with project start-up activities, commissioning documentation packages, training content development, and competence assessments for Commissioning Supervisors.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance commissioning processes, team capabilities, safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
