Job summary

Maersk in Copenhagen seeks a Global Public Affairs Intern to join the Europe team with a Nordic focus. You will analyse political developments, prepare briefs for senior executives, and support stakeholder engagements on policy issues.

The internship is full-time (37 hours/week) from January to mid-2027, with flexibility for university requirements. You will work with colleagues across the business to shape regulatory dialogue and contribute to Maersk’s climate and trade initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ability to turn political and business issues into clear, concise analysis and written material.
• Structured work approach with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
• Strong written and oral communication in English; Danish or Swedish proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse political and legislative developments in the EU, Denmark, Sweden and the Nordic region.
• Prepare briefs and background material for senior executives ahead of meetings with ministers and officials.
• Contribute to positions and consultation responses on policy issues.
• Support planning of stakeholder meetings, delegation visits and external engagements.
• Take ownership of a defined project from start to finish during the internship.
• Collaborate with teams advising senior management and engaging with governments and industry bodies.
