Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Global Public Affairs Intern to support Sub-Saharan Africa activities within its Global Public Affairs team in Copenhagen. The role offers exposure to how business, policy, and geopolitics intersect in emerging markets, with opportunities to develop analytic and professional skills in a global setting.

The internship is full-time (37 hours/week) from February to July, with possible university credit transfers. Fluency in English and strong PowerPoint/Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a master’s degree or in the final year of your bachelor’s degree in business, political science, international relations, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate political developments into business insights.
• Fluent in English; proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chief Group Representative for Sub-Saharan Africa in navigating the intersection of business, policy, and geopolitics.
• Prepare briefings, talking points, and background materials for leadership engagements in the region.
• Assist in planning high-level meetings and visits with African government stakeholders and partners.
• Contribute to regional engagement strategies and stakeholder mapping.
• Perform various administrative tasks as required.
