Job summary

Allianz Commercial in the Nordic region seeks a Senior Underwriter for Construction & Natural Resources, based in Copenhagen or Stockholm. You will lead underwriting for a growing portfolio, shaping the local proposition and collaborating with regional teams.

The role requires deep underwriting expertise, Nordic market experience, and the ability to drive growth responsibly within a global insurer. Hybrid work and regional exposure are offered.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Risk Management, Insurance or related discipline.
• Significant underwriting experience in Construction and/or Natural Resources for large corporate clients.
• Strong technical underwriting skills with ability to assess complex risks.
• Experience building broker and client relationships in the Nordic market.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management.
• Experience applying AI/ML to support underwriting decisions and portfolio insights.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a Nordic Construction & Natural Resources portfolio.
• Evaluate complex projects and determine pricing, terms and coverage.
• Build broker, client and market partner relationships in the Nordic region.
• Identify new business opportunities while maintaining underwriting discipline.
• Monitor portfolio performance, market trends and emerging risks.
• Collaborate with Risk Consulting, Claims, Multinational and Distribution teams.
• Support strategic initiatives to strengthen Allianz Commercial's position.
• Ensure compliance with governance standards and regulatory requirements.
