Job summary

Aarhus University invites applications for a Research Assistant in the Department of Biomedicine. The six-month, full-time position focuses on chromatin perturbation in neurons, with English as the working language in the lab.

The role emphasizes interdisciplinary, international collaboration and high standards of scientific rigor. The successful candidate will work under Professor Kyung Min Noh, contribute to experimental and analytical approaches, and participate in maintaining and expanding

Qualifications

  • Background in molecular biology, epigenetics, neuroscience, genomics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience with developing a single-cell omics platform is highly desirable.
  • Fluent in oral and written English; good interpersonal skills, inclusive and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Culture and maintain hiPSCs and hiPSC-derived neuronal cells, including differentiation and characterization.
  • Perform molecular and cellular biology techniques: immunocytochemistry, fluorescence microscopy, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qRT-PCR, and Western blotting.
  • Generate and validate lentiviral vectors for genetic manipulation in hiPSCs and neuronal cells.
  • Prepare sequencing libraries for chromatin-related genomic/epigenomic assays, including single-cell approaches.
  • Perform quality control and contribute to analysis and interpretation of multi-omics data.
  • Maintain accurate experimental records and manage research data.
