The Department of Biomedicine at the Faculty of Health at Aarhus University invites applications for a position as a Research Assistant to study chromatin perturbation in neurons as per 1 October 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is a fixed-term full-time position for six months.

As a Research Assistant, your primary tasks are to contribute to cutting-edge research to uncover the chromatin-based mechanisms that regulate gene expression and cellular memory in neurons. You contribute to the development of the department through interdisciplinary research of high international quality. In your daily work, you have a close interaction with competent colleagues. You will combine molecular biology, neuroscience, epigenomics, stem cell biology, genomics, and computational biology. You are expected to actively contribute to ongoing research projects while helping establish new experimental and analytical approaches to investigate chromatin dynamics in neuronal systems. In your daily work, you will collaborate closely with researchers, students, and technical staff in an international and highly collaborative research environment. You will also help maintain high standards of scientific rigor, reproducibility, and laboratory organization.
You will report to Professor Kyung Min Noh.
You have a background within molecular biology, epigenetics, neuroscience, genomics, or a closely related discipline. Previous research experience with developing a single-cell omics platform is highly desirable.
As a person, you have good interpersonal skills, are inclusive and team-oriented and able to contribute to a good work environment.
We expect you to be fluent in oral and written English.
