Job summary

Centrica Energy in Denmark seeks a Network Engineer to operate and improve the private network infrastructure supporting trading, operational and data centre environments. The role blends hands-on engineering with operational ownership and has direct impact on performance, security and resilience.

You will work with routers, switches, firewalls and connectivity services, supporting Cisco ACI, Data Centre networking, private cloud evolution and hybrid cloud enablement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with enterprise network infrastructure in data centres.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco ACI, Firepower and ISE.
• Experience with routing, switching and firewalling in complex environments.
• Headroom in private and hybrid cloud projects and automation are a plus.
• Experience across on-premises data centres and resilient infrastructure services.

Responsibilities

• Operate, optimise and maintain private network infrastructure across routers, switches, firewalls and connectivity services
• Support Cisco ACI and data centre networking platforms, ensuring resilient and scalable services
• Configure and maintain Cisco Firepower platforms, supporting secure segmentation and policy controls
• Troubleshoot incidents in business-critical environments and participate in 24/7 on-call rotations
• Contribute to infrastructure projects including private cloud evolution and hybrid cloud enablement
