Job summary

The Niels Bohr Institute in Denmark seeks a part-time Process Specialist in Nanofabrication to join the NBI Cleanroom team. The role focuses on developing nanofabrication processes and integrating multiple tools to enable novel nanoscale devices for research in quantum electronics and photonics.

The successful candidate will supervise researchers and technicians, collaborate with researchers and students, and maintain/ calibrate cleanroom equipment.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics or equivalent.
• Strong safety knowledge with hazardous materials used in nanofabrication.
• Experience with nanofabrication, especially electron beam lithography.
• Cleanroom experience and hands-on tool handling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train researchers, postdocs, students and staff in using research equipment.
• Develop state-of-the-art processes in EB/Lithography, UV-Lithography, PVD, MBE and ALD.
• Manage technical collaborations with research teams for nanofabrication development.
• Maintain and troubleshoot research equipment and calibrate tools regularly.
• Share responsibilities for tools, processes and purchases with the technical staff.
