Job summary

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. seeks two Laboratory Technicians for a 12-month fixed-term assignment in Brabrand, Denmark. You will support duplication, verification, documentation and transfer of a large microbial strain collection, ensuring high-quality biobanking practices and traceability.

Ideal candidates have microbiology education and hands-on lab experience, with fluency in English and Danish. German is a plus.

Qualifications

Education in microbiology, biotechnology or life sciences is required.
Experience with microbiological cultivation and aseptic techniques is preferred.
Strong documentation and traceability skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Prepare, propagate, and preserve bacterial, yeast, and fungal cultures using established procedures.
Support duplication of microbial strains for long-term security and preservation.
Prepare growth media, reagents, cryovials and other lab consumables.
Maintain accurate records in laboratory databases and documentation systems.
Ensure full traceability of strain-related activities and sample movements.
Assist with inventory management, labeling, packaging and transfer preparations.
Analyze and document results and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Ensure safe, compliant, and well-documented lab operations.
Work independently while collaborating with colleagues on a project team.
