Job summary

BRIGHT, located at DTU, seeks a Lab Manager to support three research groups and advance sustainable food innovation. You will ensure safety, organization, and efficiency of shared facilities, manage strain collections, and coordinate equipment upkeep, while aligning with institutional compliance and procedures.

The role requires formal lab education, effective communication, and a proactive, collaborative approach to enable high-quality scientific output across interdisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Formal laboratory education is required.
• Experience coordinating multiple lab groups and activities.
• Strong documentation and data management practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate lab logistics and ensure safety, organization, and reproducibility.
• Maintain and organize fungal and bacterial strain collections with traceability.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and service, calibration, and repairs.
• Lead onboarding and offboarding, and act as central contact across groups.
• Ensure Benchling and internal procedures are up to date and compliant.
• Organize shared resources, storage, and space allocation for staff.
