Job summary

IFF in Brabrand, Denmark seeks two Laboratory Technicians for a 12-month fixed-term assignment to support a strategic strain collection transfer project. You will duplicate, verify, document, and transfer microbial strains, ensuring high-quality preservation and traceability in a collaborative, international R&D environment.

You will work with bacterial, yeast, and fungal cultures, maintain databases, prepare media and consumables, and contribute to biobanking and quality systems while growing

Qualifications

• Education in microbiology or life sciences required.
• Experience with cultivation techniques and aseptic practices preferred.
• German language skills are an advantage.
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, propagate, and preserve cultures.
• Support duplication of microbial strains.
• Prepare growth media and lab consumables.
• Maintain records in databases and documentation systems.
• Ensure full traceability of strain activities.
• Assist with inventory management and labeling.
• Analyze and document results for stakeholders.
• Maintain safe, compliant lab operations.
• Scaling responsibilities by prior experience.
