Job summary

DTU Metabolomics Core within DTU Bioengineering is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support day-to-day operation of a core facility. You will work closely with the Facility Manager and researchers handling samples from preparation to data acquisition using HPLC, LC-MS, and related instrumentation.

You will join a team of technicians in Lyngby, contributing to safety, standard practices, and ongoing workflow improvements while collaborating with international colleagues.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree as a laboratory technician or in analytical fields.
• Experience with HPLC instrumentation; MS experience is a strong advantage.
• Experience in routine laboratory work, including sample preparation and solvent handling.
• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice, safety regulations, and documentation standards.
• Able to plan your own work independently and communicate in English.
• Ideally, experience with natural products chemistry or sample preparation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation (high-resolution LC-MS, calibration, QC).
• Run samples for internal researchers and external projects from prep to data acquisition.
• Order and manage laboratory supplies and keep the lab stocked and organized.
• Maintain lab standards: safety, waste handling, documentation, quality control.
• Support users with guidance on sample submission and preparation.
• Contribute to development of workflows and procedures; support students.
