Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator to bridge design, installation and commissioning across Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) systems on site. You will ensure design intent is translated into compliant installations delivered safely and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an MEP Coordination or MEP Engineering role on major construction projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in high-spec environments.
• Experience with QA/QC processes, commissioning, and construction standards.
• Ability to interpret and coordinate technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication skills with trades, supervisors, and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical and electrical installation activities across multiple work packages
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for buildability and coordination
• Manage RFIs and design queries, ensuring timely resolution
• Support QA/QC teams to ensure installations meet standards
• Coordinate with CSA, Mechanical, Electrical, and Commissioning teams
• Monitor progress, quality, and risks, driving early resolutions
• Facilitate communication between design teams, subcontractors and site operations
• Proactively resolve coordination challenges to protect programme and quality
