Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a construction project with responsibility for coordinating design with onsite installation through to commissioning. You will ensure alignment with Kirby Group’s vision and values while delivering on schedule, budget and quality.

The role requires 4+ years of project engineering experience with a mechanical contractor, strong communication, and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Senior Trades qualification or equivalent.
• Significant project engineering experience of 4 years+ with a mechanical contractor.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collate all design documents and drawings.
• Attend project handover meetings and review design specifications.
• Prepare coordinated drawings covering mechanical, electrical, sprinkler, structural and architectural elements.
• Review project design specs and ensure compliance of all drawings and submittals.
• Assist in the production of weekly progress reports and technical submittals.
• Organise and oversee the work of sub-contractors and conduct quality inspections.
