Job summary

Bavarian Nordic A/S is seeking a Materials Science Manager to lead the Materials Science function at Site MSAT in Kvistgård. You will guide material stewardship across raw materials, in-process materials, and packaging, directing a team of five specialists and scientists and aligning with Site and Global MSAT, Manufacturing, QA/QC, and suppliers.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in materials science or related field, with GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
Proven ability to lead a team of specialists and scientists.
Experience in material qualification, lifecycle management and supplier assessments.
Strong stakeholder management and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of five technical specialists and scientists.
Oversee material stewardship across raw materials, in-process materials and packaging.
Drive governance, standards, risk-based processes and supplier assessments.
Collaborate with Site MSAT, Manufacturing, QA/QC and external suppliers.
Translate complex evidence into actionable, decision-ready recommendations.
