Job summary

DFDS is seeking a Superintendent for Fleet Energy Efficiency Projects, based at our Copenhagen office. You will drive energy-saving initiatives across ~60 vessels, manage projects end-to-end, and collaborate with seafarers and partners globally.

The role requires travel and on-site supervision during installations and dockings. The ideal candidate has a marine engineering background, strong project management, and a proactive approach to decarbonisation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Marine engineer/naval architecture background with practical project management skills.
• Strong knowledge of energy efficiency, fuel-saving tech, decarbonisation.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams across countries and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritise energy efficiency ideas and projects.
• Manage projects from concept to installation and handover to vessels.
• Supervise on-site installation during dockings, repairs, or in-service work.
• Document and archive project data for records and compliance.
• Plan and track budgets, timelines, and financials for projects.
• Analyse and develop better operational and technical methods.
