Job summary

RWE is expanding its offshore wind capabilities and seeks a Maintenance Coordinator to lead day-to-day maintenance at Thor Offshore Wind Farm. You will coordinate activities with offshore technicians, control room staff, engineering, and site management to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires extensive offshore wind experience, strong planning and communication skills, and fluency in Danish and English, with relevant safety certifications like GWO and HUET being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training or equivalent technical qualification.
• Significant experience within offshore wind operations and maintenance.
• Experience coordinating maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of wind turbine troubleshooting and fault-finding, preferably on Siemens Gamesa platforms.
• Experience using maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP PM).
• Knowledge of WTSR; Authorizing Engineer experience is an advantage.
• Experience training and authorizing wind turbine technicians.
• Excellent planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in Danish and English; offshore fitness and relevant certifications (GWO, HUET).

Job description

RWE is building Denmark's largest offshore wind farm. Thor Offshore Wind Farm will be located 22 kilometres off the coast of Thorsminde and will have a total capacity of more than 1 GW. Once fully operational, the wind farm will generate enough renewable electricity to power more than one million Danish households.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day maintenance activities of Thor Offshore Wind Farm and its associated offshore substations. Working closely with offshore technicians, the control room, engineering teams, the warehouse coordinator, and site management, you will help ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations while supporting the delivery of maintenance plans and operational targets.

As Maintenance Coordinator, you will be a key member of the offshore operations team, overseeing work planning, worksite preparation, troubleshooting support, and personnel logistics. You will also play an important role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and operational standards while supporting the development and authorization of offshore personnel. The position operates on a one-week-on, one-week-off shift rotation, with accommodation provided when required.

About the role

• Coordinate and optimise day-to-day and weekly maintenance activities across Thor Offshore Wind Farm and associated offshore substations
• Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with RWE's Zero Incident Policy and applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Act as the primary point of contact and provide remote technical support to offshore technicians during maintenance and troubleshooting activities
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor personnel transfers to and from site using crew transfer vessels (CTV) and helicopters
• Create, allocate, monitor, and archive digital work orders and maintenance documentation within SAP PM
• Prepare and review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for maintenance activities and verify contractor compliance with site requirements
• Implement and administer Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) and support the safe execution of work on site
• Support the onboarding, training, and authorization of offshore wind turbine technicians

Job requirements and experience

• Completed vocational training or equivalent technical qualification in a relevant discipline
• Significant experience within offshore wind operations and maintenance, including responsibility for coordinating maintenance activities
• Strong technical knowledge of wind turbine troubleshooting and fault-finding, preferably on Siemens Gamesa direct-drive turbine platforms
• Experience working with maintenance management systems and digital operational tools, including SAP PM
• Knowledge of Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR), with Authorizing Engineer experience considered an advantage
• Experience training, mentoring, and authorizing wind turbine technicians
• Excellent planning, organisational, stakeholder management, and communication skills with a structured and proactive approach
• Fluency in Danish and English, together with the ability and medical fitness to work offshore, including holding or obtaining relevant GWO and HUET certifications
