Job summary

UNICEF is seeking a Logistics Assistant, G-5, temporary position in Copenhagen, Denmark. The role supports monitoring EDI/SAP data flows, freight forwarder performance, and routine reporting to improve operational visibility across shipments and payments.

You will coordinate with GSSC, handle retro approvals, and ensure timely finalization of freight POs in VISION/SAP, while expanding data quality and process improvements within the logistics team.

Qualifications

• Secondary education with additional professional training in accounting, logistics or administration.
• Five years of international transportation experience (air, sea, road) or related freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and data management.
• Attention to detail and ability to resolve data discrepancies.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor EDI/SAP data flows and freight forwarder performance to ensure accurate shipment information.
• Process retro approvals and verify non-standard freight charges.
• Track shipment closures by goods receipt, invoicing and payment status to finalize freight POs in VISION/SAP.
• Coordinate with GSSC to resolve invoice discrepancies and support timely payments.
• Prepare routine and ad-hoc reports on EDI performance, retro approvals, shipments and invoicing.
• Engage with freight forwarders and internal partners to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
