Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Librarian or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of literature, reference resources and research techniques.
• Excellent organization skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in computer skills including library systems, databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills with diverse patrons.

Responsibilities

• Manage the library's collection by selecting, cataloging and organizing materials.
• Provide reference services to patrons by assisting with research inquiries.
• Plan and organize educational programs and events such as book clubs, author visits and workshops.
• Promote the library's services through social media and other marketing strategies.
• Train and supervise library staff and volunteers.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies to improve services.
