Job summary

Black Swans Exist GmbH is seeking a Senior/Lead Scientist to join its MSAT team and drive upstream technology transfer into GMP manufacturing, including process validation and troubleshooting. You will generate manufacturing documentation, assess process risks, and lead client discussions on technology transfer with cross-functional teams such as Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.

This role is based outside Europe and includes company-supported relocation and accommodation to enable

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or above in biotechnology, chemical engineering, or related discipline.
• More than three years of experience in cell-culture process development or technology transfer.
• Experience generating GMP documentation (PCS, QRA, MBR, SOP) and involvement in process validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead upstream technology transfer activities including new product introduction, process validation, and continued process verification.
• Generate GMP documentation and perform risk assessments for upstream transfers.
• Lead client discussions on manufacturing-scale challenges and technology transfer activities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to support transfer execution.
• Lead site PIP visits, contribute to audit responses, and drive improvements in upstream transfers.
