Job summary

GomSpace is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to own the technical heart of mission systems. You will architect end-to-end spacecraft solutions and guide teams through the full development lifecycle, balancing customer needs with engineering execution.

You will operate across power, thermal, pointing, and interfaces, delivering scalable designs for single satellites and emerging constellations in a multinational setting.

Qualifications

• MSc-level (or higher) engineering education in aerospace, systems, software, electrical engineering, or related fields.
• Mastery of ECSS/NASA standards, with the ability to tailor these processes to be effective and agile.
• Demonstrated ability to design and drive engineering processes that improve team efficiency and product reliability.

Responsibilities

• Defining and Architecting end-to-end missions, scaling designs from single satellites to constellation architectures.
• Driving the full development lifecycle from proposal response to design, assembly, integration, and testing (AIT).
• Serving as the Technical Authority translating complex needs into robust system specifications.
• Designing and implementing value-added engineering processes in an agile New Space environment.
• Leading and mentoring project systems teams across power, thermal, and high-precision pointing.
• Managing complex interfaces and risk to ensure seamless payload, bus, and launch integration.
