Job summary

DIS/CREADIS is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to drive the systems engineering effort on complex defense, critical infrastructure, and high‑tech projects. You will align customer needs, requirements, architecture, and verification across the full lifecycle.

You will lead cross‑disciplinary teams, manage interfaces, perform trade‑off analyses, and ensure traceability from requirements to delivery, while acting as the technical authority throughout projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in complex technical development projects.
• Experience with software-intensive systems and multidisciplinary engineering environments.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• MSc degree in Software Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, critical infrastructure, or mission-critical domains is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Drive technical alignment in complex delivery projects

The role of a Lead Systems Engineer is to create technical alignment across complex delivery projects, from stakeholder needs and system requirements to architecture, integration, verification, and final delivery.

At DIS/CREADIS, we are looking for a Lead Systems Engineer to lead the systems engineering effort on projects within defense, critical infrastructure, and advanced technology solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring alignment between customer needs, requirements, architecture, and technical implementation, while acting as the technical focal point throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is for someone who thrives on creating clarity in complex environments, driving technical decisions, and bringing together different disciplines around a common solution.

Help create coherent and reliable system solutions

As a Lead Systems Engineer, you will be involved early in projects and play a key role in transforming customer needs into robust technical solutions.

You will act as the technical link between customers, project managers, suppliers, and development teams, ensuring that all stakeholders work toward the same objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and leading the systems engineering effort throughout the project lifecycle
• Acting as the primary technical point of contact for customers and stakeholders

In addition, we expect that you:

• Have a minimum of 8 years of experience from complex technical development projects
• Have experience with software-intensive systems and multidisciplinary engineering environments
• Can maintain technical overview and drive progress in complex projects
• Hold an M.Sc. degree in Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline
• Are fluent in English, both written and spoken

Experience with the following is considered an advantage:

• Requirements management tools such as DOORS, Polarion, Jama, or similar solutions
• MBSE and SysML
• INCOSE principles and Systems Engineering practices
• Defense, aerospace, critical infrastructure, or other mission-critical domains
