Cetec Energy is seeking a Lead Stimulation Engineer to drive planning, design and safe execution of offshore stimulation activities on a major Oil & Gas project. You will lead technical validation, coordinate with Drilling, Well Services and Stimulation teams, and ensure compliance with budgets and schedules.

The role requires a senior professional with deep stimulation expertise, offshore experience, and strong HSE leadership.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and approve stimulation designs and validations.
• Develop and manage stimulation schedules and RFCs.
• Provide technical validation of stimulation programmes and ensure appropriate technology selection.
• Approve subsurface memos, RFC/MoC related to stimulation and End of Well Reports.
• Ensure stimulation operations are delivered within the approved budget and schedule.
• Prepare AFE and cost estimates for stimulation activities.
• Manage long-term resource planning, including POB, personnel and equipment.
• Provide technical and operational support to Drilling, Well Services and Stimulation activities.
• Support IOP and stimulation/intervention planning.
• Manage stimulation contracts through continuous evaluation, SQM and KPI tracking.
• Provide input to stimulation vessel contracts and tender processes.

Are you an experienced Stimulation Engineer with a strong background in drilling, well services and offshore operations?

We are looking for a Lead Stimulation Engineer to join a major Oil & Gas project, taking a leading role in the planning, technical validation and safe execution of stimulation activities.

This is a senior technical position where you will be responsible for ensuring that stimulation operations are delivered safely, efficiently, within budget and in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

The Role

As Lead Stimulation Engineer, you will be accountable for the planning and safe execution of stimulation activities, as well as the design and validation of stimulation activities related to drilling projects.

You will work closely with Drilling, Well Services, Stimulation teams, service providers and other stakeholders, providing technical leadership and ensuring that the best available technology and lessons learned are incorporated into the projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and approve stimulation designs and validations
• Develop and manage stimulation schedules and stimulation sequence RFCs
• Provide technical validation of stimulation programmes and ensure appropriate technology selection
• Approve Subsurface Memos, RFC/MoC related to stimulation and End of Well Reports
• Ensure stimulation operations are delivered within the approved budget and schedule
• Prepare AFE and cost estimates for stimulation activities
• Manage long-term resource planning, including POB, personnel and equipment
• Provide technical and operational support to Drilling, Well Services and Stimulation activities
• Support IOP and stimulation/intervention planning
• Manage stimulation contracts through continuous evaluation, SQM and KPI tracking
• Provide technical input to stimulation vessel contracts
• Support preparation, launch and evaluation of relevant Call for Tenders
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, local regulations and chemical discharge permits
• Lead and support SIMOPS delivery, RSES-D activities and HSE/operational incident investigations
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure lessons learned are shared across the asset and wider organisation
• Maintain databases covering well technology treatments and costs
• Provide input to annual budgets and Long-Term Planning (LTP)
• Support stage gate documentation and derogations
• Provide technical support and designs for drilling projects

We are looking for a senior professional who combines strong technical stimulation expertise with solid experience from drilling and well services.

Required qualifications and experience:

• University degree in a relevant technical discipline
• Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience
• Proven experience within Stimulation, Drilling and Well Services
• Experience with offshore supervision
• Strong understanding of stimulation planning, design and execution
• Experience with technical validation, cost estimates and operational planning
• Strong HSE leadership and ability to work with service providers and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent English communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders

Certifications & Training

For offshore activities, the following are required:

• Valid offshore certification and medical
• CoC certified as DCSI/WSI
• IWCF Well Control Level 4
