Job summary

Siteimprove A/S is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the Search Insights team in Copenhagen. You will lead a distributed team of ~7 engineers, owning architecture, delivery, and modernization across .NET, TypeScript, React, and AWS.

You will partner with Product, data science, and go‑to‑market teams to deliver measurable SEO and AI‑powered search insights, driving customer value and performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years managing engineering teams.
• Proven experience with microservices and service‑oriented architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, architectural oversight, and hands‑on technical involvement when needed.
• Experience hiring, developing, and managing engineering performance across distributed teams.
• Track record of partnering with Product Management to own roadmaps and deliver customer outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills, using data to guide technical and business decisions.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities across cross‑functional teams and time zones.
• Experience delivering software solutions in enterprise SaaS or B2B environments.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership and Vision - Provide hands‑on technical leadership and architectural oversight for the Search Insights team.
• End‑to‑End Delivery - Own the team's end‑to‑end delivery, ensuring timely execution from concept to launch.
• Team Leadership and Development - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ~7 engineers across time zones.
• Product Partnership - Partner with Product Management to own the product roadmap and delivery outcomes.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration - Work with product teams across multiple pillars and data science/AI teams.
• Technical Modernization - Modernize codebases and integrate acquired platforms.
• Data‑Driven Decision‑Making - Use data to prioritize features that impact indexability and search performance, including AI‑powered search.
