Job summary

Mercive in Copenhagen is seeking a Senior SEO Specialist to own and elevate the agency's SEO practice. You will set standards, drive AI-driven audits, and ensure SEO is embedded from the start on Shopify‑based and multi‑market projects.

You’ll work with developers, UX and project management to craft strategies that improve rankings, traffic, and client visibility while exploring GEO methods and new AI tooling.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional SEO experience.
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard SEO tools and workflows.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: takes initiative and owns outcomes.
• Strong understanding of GEO and generative engine optimization trends.
• Experience with Shopify SEO and international/multi-market setups.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Mercive's SEO practice and apply best practices across client projects.
• Lead SEO workstreams on large migrations, preserving and improving rankings.
• Drive ongoing SEO strategy for retainer clients with measurable results.
• Develop Mercive's approach to GEO and AI-assisted SEO tools.
• Collaborate with developers, UX, and PM to embed SEO in new projects.
