Hitachi Energy Sweden AB is seeking a Project Lead Engineer to head the design and delivery of complete substations for distribution and transmission grids in Västerås, Sweden. The role focuses on leading engineering teams on 10–400 kV power projects, ensuring quality, safety and timely execution.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or above in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in engineering, R&D or project management.
• Experience with medium to high voltage projects in power systems.
• Site works experience is an advantage.
• Fluent in English; Swedish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the project engineering team to deliver results per contract, quality standards, HSE, budget and schedule.
• Coordinate with customer, sub-suppliers and internal/external partners on engineering matters.
• Plan and manage engineering resources following Hitachi Energy governance.
• Manage communications with all relevant stakeholders.
• Identify risks and opportunities, contribute to continuous improvement.
