Job summary

Hitachi Energy Denmark A/S is seeking a commissioning engineer to join our Grid Integration Nordic Cluster. You will lead on-site commissioning of HV and MV substations across Denmark, Sweden and Finland, balancing office planning with field work, and travel as required.

We require a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, 2+ years’ commissioning experience, and fluency in English. Danish/Swedish/Finnish skills are a plus. Apply soon to join a global technology leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in electrical engineering or similar.
• At least 2 years' experience with commissioning transformer stations.
• On-site testing of HV substations, relay protection testing (e.g., RET670/REF615).
• Experience with testing of digital substations per IEC 61850 is a plus.
• Experience with projects from tender to on-site implementation.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning of HV and MV substations, including HV/MV switchgear, transformers, AC/DC auxiliary systems, control and protection systems.
• Participate in pre-commissioning meetings, planning and documentation preparation.
• Follow electrical safety instructions and other HSE guidelines per Hitachi's/customer requirements.
• Coordinate commissioning activities on-site with the project manager, site manager and technical project manager.
• Support bidding by providing commissioning plan and time and cost estimates.
• Act as commissioning lead/manager in designated projects if appointed.
